As a project, I created Colony, a boutique hotel geared towards the traveling, professional Creative coming to New York on business. It’s located in Manhattan’s SOHO neighborhood, which is known for boutique dining, shopping and art galleries. The hotel’s aesthetics are based on the principle that is a guiding force for so many Creatives: less is more. No fuss. No frills. Just simple, solid design, ample white space and limited color. The logo mark references the letter “C” as well as Colony’s principal philosophy: networking. Colony promotes Creatives mingling with one another through many of its accommodations.

Bites & Brews is the hotel lounge. They offer a limited drink and snack menu, and the only community seating promotes Colony's networking philosophy.
A Soho neighborhood guide will be in each room for guests to research dining, shopping and entertainment options before ever leaving the hotel. They can read past guests' reviews and write their own after they try a new place.
